Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis. During treatment, neuropsychiatric symptoms such as anxiety, depression, hallucinations, and suicidal thoughts may occur, requiring caution. If any of these symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which should be limited in patients with phenylketonuria. Preparations containing lactose should not be administered to patients with certain genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance. This medication is not for use during an acute asthma attack; appropriate emergency medication should be on hand for acute symptom onset. No specific interactions have been reported with other asthma treatments; however, when used with certain medications, follow a doctor's instructions. Consult a doctor before taking it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and only take it when necessary. Children and the elderly can also use it, but the dosage and precautions based on age should be adhered to. In cases of overdose, since there is no specific antidote, immediate medical attention is needed for necessary treatment. Store this medication out of reach of children, and do not transfer it to another container. Do not suddenly reduce or stop the dosage of other asthma medications while taking this one; follow a doctor's guidance. Patients with asthma triggered by exercise should not rely solely on this medication and should use an inhaled bronchodilator when needed. If new neuropsychiatric symptoms or changes in behavior occur during treatment, inform healthcare personnel immediately, and regular monitoring is necessary.
