Precautions

This medication can cause liver damage if taken by someone who regularly consumes more than three drinks a day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Additionally, infrequently, serious skin reactions, such as significant rashes or pus-filled blisters, may occur due to the acetaminophen component of this medication, so discontinue use immediately if abnormal skin symptoms develop. The daily maximum dose of acetaminophen is set at 4,000 mg, so care should be taken not to exceed this dose when combining this medication with any other acetaminophen-containing products. The pseudoephedrine contained in this medication may rarely cause severe skin reactions; if fever, rash, or small blisters appear, stop taking the medication and consult a healthcare professional. Particularly, individuals who have had hypersensitivity reactions to this medication or its components, those with a history of asthma, infants under three months old, or those taking certain antidepressants should not take this medication. During treatment, it is advisable not to use cough suppressants or expectorants, other cold medicines, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines concurrently. Also, children suspected of having chickenpox or flu, individuals with certain disorders, those with allergies, or individuals with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If rashes, itching, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty breathing, severe symptoms such as blistering skin, or signs of liver dysfunction occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be given to children under the age of two without consulting a doctor, even if necessary. Follow the prescribed dosages carefully, do not use it for extended periods, and avoid alcohol consumption. Moreover, drowsiness can occur, so it is safest to avoid driving or operating machinery. Care should be taken as using this medication alongside certain diuretics or other medications containing licorice may result in side effects. Finally, keep this medication out of reach of children, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and ensure it is sealed to maintain quality. Transferring to another container may pose risks of misuse and degrade quality.
