This medication helps relieve nasal symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing caused by colds, as well as respiratory symptoms such as sore throat, cough, and phlegm. It also improves systemic symptoms like chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain, effectively alleviating overall cold symptoms. Therefore, it is used to relieve various symptoms of cold.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 15 and older: Take 2 capsules three times daily after meals, 30 minutes after eating.

Precautions

To prevent liver damage, individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult a physician or pharmacist. This medication contains acetaminophen, which may rarely cause serious skin reactions such as severe rash or blisters; therefore, if skin rash or hypersensitivity symptoms occur after taking the medication, immediately discontinue use. Care should be taken not to exceed a daily maximum dosage of 4,000mg of acetaminophen, and this medication should not be taken along with other medications containing acetaminophen. Individuals allergic to this medication or its components, those with a history of asthma-induced reactions, infants under three months, or those taking or recently discontinuing certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not take this medication. During the course of this medication, do not use cough medications, other cold medications, antipyretics, analgesics, sedatives, or medications containing antihistamines simultaneously. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, those with allergies or a history of allergic reactions to medications, individuals with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and persons with specific cough symptoms should consult a specialist before taking this medication. If unusual symptoms occur while taking this medication, such as rash, itching, vomiting, urination problems, or dizziness, immediately stop taking the medication and consult a specialist. In particular, if symptoms such as hives, breathing difficulties, severe skin symptoms, liver dysfunction, or pneumonia occur, the use of this medication should be discontinued immediately, and medical personnel should be consulted. Do not administer this medication to children under the age of two years; if absolutely necessary, obtain medical advice. Adhere to the prescribed dosage and usage, avoid prolonged use, and refrain from alcohol consumption during treatment. Additionally, this medication may cause drowsiness; therefore, avoid driving or operating machinery and be cautious when used in combination with certain medications. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container. To maintain quality, it is important not to transfer the contents to another container.

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → severe allergic reaction
  • Severe rash, blisters, peeling skin, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes with high fever → severe skin adverse reactions
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever → respiratory problems
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy → liver issues (jaundice)
  • Severe symptoms

Mild side effects

Rash, redness (hyperemia), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling (edema), difficulty urinating, persistent or severe dryness of mouth, dizziness, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, antiparkinson agents, etc.), cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or oral antihistamines. Additionally, consult a physician or pharmacist when using diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturate medications, and tricyclic antidepressants.

Food interactions

Caution is advised when taking this medication with alcohol.

This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture and should be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is safest to store it at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
