This medicine is used to relieve symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and pruritus.
Adults and children over 6 years of age should take Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg orally once daily before bedtime. For patients sensitive to adverse reactions, 5 mg can be taken in the morning and evening. Patients with renal impairment should adjust the dose and dosing interval based on kidney function, and the dosage varies according to creatinine clearance. - Normal (≥80 mL/min): Once daily 10 mg - Mild (50-79 mL/min):
Children over 6 years of age should take Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg orally once daily before bedtime, similar to adults. In children with renal impairment, the dose should be adjusted individually based on renal clearance and body weight.
This medication should not be taken by patients with allergies to specific components, patients with severely impaired kidney function, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, and children under 6 years of age. During the course of taking this medicine, it should not be combined with certain drugs that may have interactions, such as theophylline or ritonavir. Breastfeeding should be paused while taking this medication, and it is safe not to take it with substances that can affect the central nervous system, such as alcohol. Patients with impaired kidney or liver function, the elderly, patients with epilepsy, and those with issues regarding urination should consult with a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. In the case of overdose, various symptoms may occur, including confusion, drowsiness, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty urinating; therefore, it is important to stop taking the medication immediately and consult medical personnel. This medication may cause side effects such as drowsiness, headache, dyspepsia, skin rash, and liver function abnormalities, so if any abnormal symptoms occur, it is advisable to consult a professional immediately. Additionally, it is recommended not to take this medication before allergy reaction tests, and caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery. This medication can be taken with food without significantly affecting absorption; however, the absorption rate may be slightly delayed. When storing, keep it out of the reach of children, sealed in its original container.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in mouth/eye mucous membranes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory distress accompanied by coughing and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), generalized severe lethargy, sudden and extreme headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, reduced urine output

This medication should be stored in a sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. It is advisable to maintain a storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius. Storing it this way helps ensure the safety of the medication's efficacy.
