This medication is used to treat various infections caused by bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Klebsiella, and Staphylococcus. It is effective against respiratory infections excluding acute bronchitis and those caused by community-acquired pneumonia, as well as infections in the ears, nose, and throat (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, etc.), and urinary tract infections including bacterial prostatitis, acute cystitis, and acute pyelonephritis. It is also utilized for the treatment of urethritis and cervicitis caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, gastrointestinal infections, biliary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and infections of bones and joints. It is used for gynecological infections and peritonitis, including conditions like chalazion and sialadenitis, and should only be used when other treatments are inadequate due to its classification as a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. This medication is effective for treating a variety of infections caused by the aforementioned bacteria.

How to take

Precautions

This medication can worsen symptoms of tendinitis, tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, central nervous system side effects that affect the brain and nervous system, and symptoms of myasthenia gravis.
