This medication is effective for disinfecting the oral cavity and is used to alleviate inflammation in the throat, such as pharyngitis and laryngitis. It also helps in the healing of wounds after oral surgery and tooth extraction, and assists in improving bad breath. Overall, it is used to treat infections and inflammation symptoms in the mouth and throat.
Apply an appropriate amount several times a day.
This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this drug or any of its components. Additionally, patients with thyroid function issues, children under 6 years old, and those undergoing or recently having undergone radioactive iodine treatment should not use this medication. Individuals with severe mouth ulcers, pregnant women or those who might become pregnant, and nursing mothers should consult with their doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. This medication contains propylene glycol, and individuals who have a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to this component should exercise caution. If any allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, or difficulty breathing occur while using this medication, usage should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Oral irritation or ulcers may occur, and rarely, side effects such as nausea, dermatitis, respiratory problems, or thyroid function changes may appear. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and method of use, and when children are using this product, they should be closely supervised by an adult. This medication is to be used only in the mouth, and strong rinsing should be avoided until bleeding ceases after tooth extraction. Additionally, when undergoing thyroid testing, this medication and the tests should be spaced at least 4 weeks apart, and attention should be paid to any changes in thyroid function. If symptoms such as sudden itching, swelling, chest tightness, pale face, cold extremities, cold sweats, or difficulty breathing occur after using this medication, immediate medical attention is required. Overuse can lead to iodine toxicity, so caution is advised, and any spills on clothing should be washed off immediately. If this medication is ingested in large quantities or comes into contact with the eyes, immediate action should be taken. Care should be taken to avoid contact with jewelry, especially silver products. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. When storing, keep this medication out of reach of children and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. This medication should be stored tightly closed in its original container; transferring to a different container can lead to improper use or degradation in quality.
