Adult dose
For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with telmisartan alone, take one tablet daily with water, regardless of meals. Before switching to this combination drug with fixed doses of each component, it is recommended to adjust the doses of individual components according to the patient. When clinically appropriate, direct switch from single medication to this drug may also be considered. - The Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination of 40/12.5 mg can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 40 mg of Telmisartan. - The Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination of 80/12.5 mg can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 80 mg of Telmisartan. - The Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination of 80/25 mg can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with either 80 mg of Telmisartan alone or 12.5 mg of Hydrochlorothiazide alone. Sodium depletion or hypovolemia should be corrected before starting this medication. For patients with kidney impairment, No dose adjustment is necessary for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. This medication should not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min). Periodic monitoring of renal function is recommended. For patients with liver impairment, Caution is required when administering this medication to patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. The daily dose should not exceed 40/12.5 mg. This medication should not be administered to patients with severe liver impairment (see precautions 2). Thiazide diuretics should be used with caution in patients with liver dysfunction. Elderly patients, No dose adjustment is required. Children, The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children under 18 years of age.
