It is also used for spastic paralysis caused by neurological diseases and helps in the treatment of various neurological sequelae and post-trauma sequelae including cerebrovascular disorders, spastic spinal paralysis, and cervical spondylosis. This medicine plays an important role in alleviating muscle tension and reducing pain, thereby improving the daily activities of patients. How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Administer 50 mg of eperisone hydrochloride orally three times a day after meals. Adjust dosage appropriately according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, it should not be administered to patients who have had an allergic reaction to this drug. Additionally, it should not be taken by patients with severe muscle weakness, such as in myasthenia gravis. This medication contains lactose, so patients with genetic disorders that prevent the digestion of lactose should also avoid it. Caution is also required for patients who have experienced allergic reactions to medications in the past or have poor liver function; this medication should be used with care. Monitoring by a physician is necessary as liver function may deteriorate. There may also be side effects associated with this medication. Symptoms of anemia should also be monitored. Skin rash or itching may occur, and mentally, symptoms such as insomnia, drowsiness, headache, and tingling in the limbs may arise. Gastrointestinal symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, reduced appetite, and abdominal pain. Urinary issues may present as difficulty in urinating. Systemically, weakness, dizziness, and reduced muscle tension may occur. Furthermore, serious side effects, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, have been reported rarely, so if symptoms such as fever, skin rash, blisters, eye redness, or oral inflammation occur, consult a doctor immediately. During the use of this medication, fatigue, instability, and drowsiness may occur, so dosage should be reduced or stopped if these symptoms arise. Due to possible drowsiness or reduced concentration, it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. This medication may increase side effects when used with other muscle relaxants, so always consult a physician before concomitant use with other drugs. Women who are pregnant or likely to become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits of using this medication.
