This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of cold such as sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Aged 15 years and older: Take 2 capsules three times a day, 30 minutes after meals.

Precautions

This medication may burden the liver, so those who regularly drink more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. The ingredients in this medication can rarely cause serious skin reactions, so if a rash or allergy symptoms appear after taking it, immediately stop taking the medication. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen, and it should not be taken in combination with other products containing acetaminophen. Individuals who are allergic to this medication or its components, have a history of triggering asthma, are infants under 3 months old, or are currently taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications should not take this medication. Do not take this medication concurrently with cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, those with allergic tendencies, individuals with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a doctor before taking this medication. If unusual symptoms appear during use, such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, etc., immediately stop taking this medication and consult medical personnel. Especially, if severe allergic reactions or liver function abnormalities occur, seek prompt treatment. Children under 2 years old should generally not use this medication unless in special cases and must receive a doctor's evaluation. Follow the prescribed dosage and method of administration strictly, avoid long-term use, and do not consume alcohol. Additionally, when taken with certain medications, the risk of side effects may increase, so consult a professional if taking other medications. Store this medication out of reach of children in a tightly closed container, avoiding direct sunlight and a cool, dry place.   • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → severe allergic reaction
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mouth/eye mucosa → severe skin reaction
  • Asthma
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), severe lethargy → liver dysfunction (jaundice)
  • Cough along with shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever, etc. → respiratory problems

Mild side effects

Rash, redness (erythema), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, dizziness, anxiety, trembling, insomnia, high-anion-gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication together with MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anti-Parkinson's drugs, etc.), cough suppressants, expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Additionally, consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking with barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, or steroids.

Food interactions
