Precautions

This drug is used for the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis. During treatment, psychiatric symptoms may occur, so patients and caregivers should closely monitor for changes in mental state such as anxiety, depression, aggression, hallucinations, and suicidal impulses. If any of these symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and inform a doctor. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which should be avoided by patients with phenylketonuria. Patients who are allergic to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not take these medications simultaneously with this drug. It should be used during pregnancy only if necessary and requires caution while breastfeeding. It is safe for use in individuals of various ages, from children to the elderly, but safety and efficacy have not been established for infants under 6 months.
