This drug contains the ingredient sodium metabisulfite, which may rarely cause hypersensitivity reactions such as anaphylaxis or bronchospasm. Patients with a history of asthma should be particularly cautious when using this medication and must follow a doctor's instructions. The yellow cap should not be removed until the drug is ready for use, and injections should only be administered on the outer thigh. Injection into the buttocks is not allowed, and the black needle guard of the autoinjector must be pressed firmly against the skin or clothing to administer the injection immediately. Since an anaphylactic reaction may occur, it is necessary to request an ambulance and prepare for emergency treatment right after the first dose of this drug. Patients with low blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, renal impairment, cor pulmonale, arrhythmia, benign prostatic hyperplasia, hypercalcemia, hypokalemia, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, elderly patients, pregnant women, and children under 15 kg must use this drug with extreme caution. This drug can cause various side effects such as increased heart rate, headache, dizziness, vomiting, muscle cramps, and circulatory disturbances, especially if injected incorrectly into the hands or feet. Patients prescribed this drug must thoroughly understand the usage and management methods and educate those around them, regularly checking the readiness for use. While this drug will not affect driving or operating machinery, caution must be taken after an anaphylactic reaction. This drug may interact with other medications, requiring caution when used with cardiac glycosides, diuretics, antiarrhythmics, tricyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, certain antihistamines, insulin, and more. During pregnancy, this drug should only be administered when absolutely necessary, and its use should be avoided during labor. Safety in breastfeeding women has not been established, so it must be used cautiously. In cases of overdose, immediate emergency treatment is necessary for hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, brain hemorrhage, myocardial damage, and renal impairment that may occur. This drug should be stored out of reach of children, at temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius, and should not be frozen. The drug should not be used if the contents are discolored or if there is sediment. Expired drugs should not be thrown away but should be disposed of properly by consulting a pharmacist.
