This medication is primarily used for cough, phlegm, runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing associated with colds.

How to take

Adult dose

Do not take more than 4 times within 24 hours.

Child dose

6 to 12 years: 10 mL, every 4 to 6 hours 2 to 6 years: 5 mL, every 4 to 6 hours Do not administer to children under 2 years old. If absolutely necessary, consult a doctor.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If fever, red spots, or small blisters on the skin develop, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be taken in certain cases. For instance, avoid use if you have taken MAO inhibitors within the last 2 weeks or have severe hypertension or serious kidney disease. It is also important not to take other cold medications, cough suppressants, antihistamines, sedatives, or alcohol while using this medication. Before taking, consult a doctor or pharmacist if you have a history of allergies, chronic diseases such as liver, kidney, thyroid disorders, diabetes, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have heart disease or hypertension. Particularly, children under 2 years old should not take this medication, and if necessary, they should see a doctor. If unusual symptoms such as rash, vomiting, dizziness, anxiety, or insomnia occur, or if symptoms do not improve, stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. Additionally, if a cough persists for more than a week or if there is fever or headache, a doctor's evaluation is necessary. This medication should be taken exactly as directed, and when giving to children, supervision by a guardian is required. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight and keeping it in its original container.

  • Sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, seizures, visual disturbances, or other serious neurological symptoms.
