This medication should not be used in patients with an allergic reaction to its ingredients. It should be used with caution in patients with impaired kidney or liver function, as well as in elderly individuals. Various side effects, including drowsiness, headache, dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, and skin rash, have been reported in clinical trials, so if any unusual symptoms occur, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. Patients who have been on long-term steroid treatment should taper their steroid dosage slowly if taking this medication. Patients with reduced kidney function may have elevated serum levels of this medication, so it is recommended to start with a low dose initially and monitor their condition closely. The use of this medication in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis has not been sufficiently studied, so it is advisable to adjust the usage according to the season. If no effect is seen, it is preferable not to take it for a long duration. Similar to other antihistamines, combining it with alcohol may exacerbate side effects, so alcohol should be avoided. Nursing mothers should also avoid using this medication as it may be transmitted through breast milk, and if unavoidable, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently confirmed in children, so caution is warranted. Elderly patients may be at risk of increased drug concentrations due to reduced kidney function, necessitating adjustments in dosage and duration of administration. This medication may affect allergy tests, so it is best to discontinue it before testing. Do not swallow the tablets whole; take out from the packaging before use, and be cautious as swallowing the packaging incorrectly may cause esophageal injury. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children in a cool place below 30 degrees Celsius, away from moisture.
