Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have an allergic reaction to this medication or its ingredients. Caution should be exercised in patients with liver disease or a history of liver problems, as liver function may worsen, and regular testing is required. If allergic symptoms such as skin rash, urticaria, swelling of the face or extremities, or severe itching occur while taking this medication, discontinue immediately and consult a physician. Drowsiness, headache, dizziness, insomnia, and nightmares may occasionally occur, so caution is necessary if these symptoms are severe. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, and dry mouth may occur, so if symptoms persist, consult a physician. Liver function test results may show elevated levels, or jaundice may occur, so liver function should be monitored regularly. Rarely, kidney function abnormalities or urinary symptoms (frequency, hematuria, etc.) may arise, so notify immediately if any unusual symptoms occur. Cardiovascular and respiratory symptoms such as palpitations or shortness of breath have also been reported, so caution is necessary. Blood tests may show decreased platelets or increased white blood cells, so regular blood tests are recommended. Gynecomastia, menstrual irregularities, or breast pain may also rarely occur. This medication does not provide rapid symptom relief during asthma attacks, so asthma patients need sufficient explanation before use. In patients on long-term steroid therapy, tapering the steroid dosage should proceed gradually when taking this medication. Drowsiness may occur, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. If efficacy is not observed, it is advisable not to use this medication for an extended period. Seasonal allergy patients should ideally start taking this medication before symptoms begin and continue throughout the duration of symptoms. While this medication is unlikely to enhance the sedative effects when used with other sedatives or alcohol, caution is advised due to limited concurrent experience. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a physician to carefully consider the benefits and risks of taking this medication. Women who are nursing should avoid this medication if possible, or discontinue nursing, as it may be transmitted through breast milk. The safety of this medication in children, newborns, and infants has not been sufficiently established, so caution is needed for use. Elderly patients often have reduced liver and kidney function, so they should be carefully monitored for adverse reactions, and dose adjustment or discontinuation should be considered if necessary. Overdose may cause cardiac arrhythmias, so appropriate treatment should be sought immediately if symptoms occur. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container should be avoided as it may lead to accidents or affect the quality of the medication. Taking this medication on an empty stomach may increase blood concentration, so it is important to respect the timing for taking it before or after meals according to the condition.
