This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy of amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, dosage adjustment is not required, but severe renal impairment patients and those on dialysis should not be administered this medication. Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with allergies to any of the ingredients in this medication or similar class medications, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe renal or hepatic dysfunction, and those with a history of certain heart conditions or angioedema should not take this medication. If symptoms of angioedema (e.g., airway obstruction, swelling of the face, lips, tongue) occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and healthcare professionals should be notified. Patients with heart failure or after myocardial infarction should have their renal function and blood pressure monitored periodically while taking this medication, and special caution is required for those with specific heart diseases. This medication can be safely used in elderly patients at usual doses, but they should be cautious when driving or operating machinery due to potential dizziness or fatigue. Overdosage of this medication may cause severe hypotension or heart arrhythmias, so contact a healthcare facility immediately if any unusual symptoms occur.
