Precautions

This medication may cause liver damage in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day; therefore, it is essential to consult with a doctor or pharmacist. The pseudoephedrine component in this medication can, though rarely, cause a serious skin reaction known as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, so if fever, skin rash, or small blisters develop, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Individuals allergic to this medication or its components should avoid taking it, and those with a history of asthma attacks should also refrain from using it. Persons currently taking or recently discontinuing certain medications such as antidepressants or antipsychotics, those with peptic ulcers, or severe liver, kidney, or heart diseases should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, and patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should not use it. During treatment, do not take other acetaminophen-containing products, and combining this medication with cough suppressants, cold medications, sleep aids, or sedatives may increase the risk of side effects. Additionally, avoid consuming alcoholic beverages, and as drowsiness may occur, it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery. Individuals with allergies or who have previously experienced allergic reactions to this medication, as well as children, the elderly, pregnant women, and nursing mothers, should consult a healthcare professional before use. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication, or if rashes, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty breathing, severe skin reactions, or symptoms of liver dysfunction occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. This medication is intended to aid in symptom relief and requires regular blood tests and liver function tests during long-term use. Overdosing may cause severe damage to the liver and kidneys, so caution is necessary. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children, and keep in its original container away from direct sunlight.
