This medication is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by occlusive thromboangiitis. It also helps improve subjective symptoms such as leg pain and numbness and worsens walking ability in patients with acquired lumbar spinal stenosis. Therefore, this drug is effective in alleviating symptoms and improving function related to vascular and spinal disorders.

Precautions

This drug should not be used by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Additionally, since it contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders. It should be used cautiously in patients with bleeding tendencies or those taking antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, or anticoagulants. This drug may occasionally cause hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash or itching, and if such symptoms occur, administration should be discontinued. Rarely, bleeding may occur, so if symptoms of bleeding appear, use should be stopped immediately and monitored. Gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, abdominal discomfort, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and heartburn may occur. Liver function abnormalities may appear, so close monitoring is recommended if liver function tests are suspected to be abnormal. Symptoms of cardiovascular disorders such as palpitations, hypotension, and peripheral cyanosis have also been reported, so caution is advised. Various side effects such as headache, facial flushing, dizziness, fever, general malaise, edema, tremors, excessive hair growth on legs, and anemia may occur. Patients with lumbar spinal stenosis should observe symptom progression when deciding whether to continue use, as the effectiveness in severe cases is uncertain. Safety has not been established in pregnant women, and uterine contraction effects have been reported in animal studies, so use during pregnancy should be avoided. Safety in children has also not been established, so it is advisable not to use this drug in children. Elderly patients may have diminished body function, so dosage adjustments and careful use are necessary.
