Improvement of (hypertension, heart failure) and suppression of (hypercholesterolemia, cardiovascular disease risk)
This medication is used for patients who need to take both Candesartan Cilexetil and Rosuvastatin simultaneously. First, Candesartan Cilexetil is used to treat essential hypertension and is also used in patients with heart failure with reduced left ventricular function, who require additional use of ACE inhibitors, or in cases where tolerance to ACE inhibitors is poor. Meanwhile, Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct therapy for patients whose hypercholesterolemia, particularly primary and familial types, and mixed hyperlipidemia cannot be controlled by diet and exercise. It also helps lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemic patients, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis, and aids in the dietary management of patients with dysbetalipoproteinemia. Additionally, it reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular reintervention in patients at high risk of cardiovascular disease. As a combination of these two drugs, it effectively improves hypertension and hyperlipidemia simultaneously.
Candesartan Cilexetil 1. Essential hypertension - Recommended administration of 8–16 mg orally once daily - After administering 16 mg once daily for 4 weeks without blood pressure control, dosage may be increased to a maximum of 32 mg once daily. 2. Heart failure - Recommended initial dose is 4 mg once daily. - Dosage may be doubled at intervals of at least 2 weeks, up to a maximum of 32 mg once daily. Rosuvastatin - To be taken once daily at any time of the day.
