Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients with hypersensitivity to any components. Caution should be exercised when used by patients with impaired kidney or liver function, and elderly patients. In clinical trials and post-marketing studies, neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, headache, dizziness, and gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea have been reported. Furthermore, hypersensitivity reactions such as blood count changes, elevated liver function tests, kidney-related abnormalities, and skin rashes may occur. Since drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, caution should be taken when driving a vehicle or operating dangerous machinery. For patients receiving long-term steroid treatment, the steroid dose should be tapered gradually when taking this medication. Patients with decreased kidney function may have an increased blood concentration of this medication, thus should start at a low dose and be monitored closely. As the efficacy of this medication has not been sufficiently studied in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis, caution should be exercised and it should be administered according to the allergy season. If no effect is observed, it is advisable not to use it for an extended period. Like other antihistamines, excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medication should be avoided. It is advisable for women who are pregnant or may become pregnant not to use this medication, and if necessary, to use it cautiously after consulting a physician. Breastfeeding women should also avoid taking this medication, as it can be transferred to the baby through breast milk. The safety of this medication in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so caution is needed when using it. Elderly individuals may be at risk for increased concentration of this medication due to impaired kidney function, so careful monitoring is required during administration. Taking this medication before an allergy test may affect the test results, so it is advisable not to take it before the test. This medication should be taken after removing the tablet from the packaging, and swallowing the packaging may cause damage to the esophagus, so caution is advised. It should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. It is important to maintain a stored temperature between 1°C to 30°C. Proper storage will help maintain the medication's effectiveness for an extended period.
