This medication is used for the treatment of peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also used as an adjunct for partial seizures unrelated to secondary general symptoms in patients with epilepsy. Additionally, it is effective in the treatment of fibromyalgia, used to improve symptoms of various neurological-related disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication, pregabalin, is administered orally without regard to meals, divided into two doses per day. 1. Neuropathic Pain 1) Peripheral Neuropathic Pain - Starting dose: 150 mg per day - Within 3 to 7 days: may be increased to 300 mg per day - If necessary, can be increased to a maximum of 600 mg per day at 7-day intervals. 2) Central Neuropathic Pain - Starting dose: 150 mg per day

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors. If depression or mood changes occur while taking it, inform medical personnel immediately.
