Adult dose
For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by telmisartan alone, take once daily with or without food along with water. It is recommended to adjust the dosage of each component separately based on individual needs before switching to this medication, which has fixed doses of each component. When clinically appropriate, direct switching from monotherapy to this medication can also be considered. - Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination 40/12.5 mg may be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by 40 mg telmisartan. - Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination 80/12.5 mg may be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by 80 mg telmisartan. - Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination 80/25 mg may be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by a combination of 80 mg telmisartan and 12.5 mg hydrochlorothiazide. Sodium or volume depletion should be corrected before starting this medication. For renal impairment No dose adjustment is necessary for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. This medication should not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min). Periodic monitoring of kidney function is recommended. For liver impairment In patients with mild to moderate liver impairment, this medication should be administered with caution. The maximum daily dose of this medication should not exceed 40/12.5 mg. This medication should not be administered to patients with severe liver impairment (refer to usage precautions 2). Thiazide diuretics should be used cautiously in patients with liver dysfunction. For elderly patients No dose adjustment is necessary. For children The safety and efficacy of this medication in children under 18 years of age have not been established.

This medication is used for the treatment of essential hypertension.
