Precautions

This medicine should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this medication or any of its components. Additionally, it contains lactose, so it should not be taken by individuals with hereditary problems such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Those with liver disease or a history of liver disease should use this medication cautiously, as it may worsen liver function. If allergic symptoms such as rashes, hives, or swelling of the face or extremities occur while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. Occasionally, psychiatric symptoms such as drowsiness, headaches, dizziness, insomnia, and nightmares may occur, so caution is advised if such symptoms arise. Gastrointestinal-related side effects such as nausea, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, diarrhea, constipation, and oral inflammation may also occur, so one should monitor for abnormal symptoms. Signs of liver dysfunction may appear, so if liver enzyme levels rise or jaundice symptoms appear, it is important to consult a healthcare professional immediately. In rare cases, it can affect kidney function, possibly leading to proteinuria, necessitating caution if urinary symptoms or cystitis occur. Symptoms such as rapid heartbeat may occur, and respiratory symptoms such as shortness of breath or nasal congestion have been reported infrequently. Routine blood tests may show a decrease in platelet count or an increase in white blood cell count, so regular monitoring is advisable. Women may experience rare side effects such as gynecomastia, menstrual irregularities, or breast pain. This medication is not a fast-relieving medication for asthma attacks, so asthma patients should receive thorough explanations before use, and if it is ineffective during long-term use, they should discontinue it. If undergoing steroid treatment, tapering down on steroids should be done gradually while taking this medication. This medication may cause drowsiness, requiring caution during driving or machine operation. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits of using this medication, and nursing mothers should preferably avoid taking it or discontinue breastfeeding. Safety for children, newborns, and infants has not been sufficiently verified, so caution is warranted in these populations. Elderly patients may have reduced liver and kidney function, making it necessary to regularly monitor their condition and adjust dosage as needed to prevent adverse reactions. In the case of overdose, cardiac rhythm abnormalities may occur, necessitating appropriate treatment measures, such as gastric lavage or inducing urination in emergencies. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer it to other containers. Taking it on an empty stomach may increase blood concentration, so it is recommended to take it before bedtime or after meals depending on symptoms.
