Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension
This medication is used in the treatment of essential hypertension when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with either telmisartan or amlodipine monotherapy. This drug effectively lowers blood pressure to aid in hypertension management and contributes to the prevention of cardiovascular complications.
The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (for example, in the morning). For patients with renal impairment, mild to moderate renal impairment does not require dose adjustment; however, for those with severe renal impairment, treatment should start with a lower dose and gradually increase. For patients with liver impairment, the daily dosage of telmisartan should not exceed 40 mg.
The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established for pediatric patients under 18 years of age, thus its administration is not recommended.
This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can pose serious risks to the fetus. If pregnancy is confirmed, use of this medication should be discontinued as soon as possible. This medication is contraindicated for patients with certain conditions. For example, individuals who are allergic to any active ingredients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe liver or heart problems, and patients with severe hypotension should not take this medication. Additionally, careful administration is necessary for some patients. For example, patients with impaired liver function or gastrointestinal diseases, those with kidney problems, and elderly patients should take this medication with caution under medical supervision. Common side effects of this medication may include dizziness and peripheral edema, while severe side effects can occur infrequently; if any unusual symptoms arise, consult a doctor immediately. It is important to regularly check blood pressure, kidney function, and serum electrolyte levels during treatment to detect any abnormalities. This medication may interact with other drugs; therefore, if you are taking other medications, it is essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid using this medication, especially as the ingredients may be transferred to breast milk. The safety and efficacy have not been established sufficiently for children or adolescents under 18 years of age, thus, its use is not recommended in these populations. Elderly patients may respond more sensitively to this medication, so dosage should be adjusted and monitored closely. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and cardiac arrhythmias may occur; seek medical attention immediately for appropriate treatment. Keep this medication out of reach of children, do not transfer it to another container, and it is recommended to open the packaging just before use.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), cold sweat, pallor, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in the mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, lightning-like headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis

This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a special container that prevents light exposure. Additionally, it should be kept at a cool room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
