Precautions
This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or renal diseases. Additionally, individuals allergic to this drug or its components, infants under 3 months old, patients with kidney stones, and those with hypersensitivity to soybean oil or peanuts should avoid taking it. Those undergoing treatment or with oxalate diuresis should consult an expert before taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, premature infants, and infants should also consult a physician before use, as vitamin D can cause hypercalcemia in newborns through breast milk. It is important for patients with a history of gout or kidney stones, those with lipid metabolism disorders, and patients treated with lipid emulsions to consult an expert before taking this medication. This drug contains FD&C Yellow No. 5 (Tartrazine), so individuals allergic to this ingredient should take caution. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loose stools occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult an expert. Long-term high-dose use may lead to tolerance, and excessive doses can cause peptic ulcers, glucose metabolism disorders, hyperuricemia, and liver damage, requiring caution. If an overdose occurs, or if symptoms do not improve after 1 month of use, discontinue immediately and consult an expert. This drug must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, as it may affect blood sugar detection in urine tests and change urine color to yellow, influencing clinical test results. Patients at risk of lipid overload should regularly check their plasma lipid levels and adjust the dosage if necessary, particularly when receiving other lipid medications. This drug should be stored out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in a cool, sealed place with low humidity. To prevent misuse and maintain quality, it is also advisable not to transfer it to another container.
