Precautions

This medication can cause problems with tendons, such as tendonitis or tendon rupture, so use should be stopped immediately if pain or inflammation in the tendons occurs. There may be nerve-related issues such as peripheral neuropathy, so caution is needed if there is numbness or abnormal sensations in the hands and feet. As this medication can affect the central nervous system, symptoms such as dizziness, seizures, and confusion may occur, and should be reported immediately if they appear. This medication is not used in patients with myasthenia gravis, a neuromuscular disorder, as it may worsen symptoms. This medication is recommended only when no other treatment options exist for specific infections. Elderly patients, those with impaired kidney function, or individuals taking corticosteroids have an increased risk of tendon rupture and should be careful. Severe allergic reactions can occur, so if symptoms like rash, difficulty breathing, or swelling appear, use should be stopped immediately and the hospital should be contacted. Mental symptoms such as anxiety, depression, hallucinations, or sleep disorders may appear, and if symptoms are severe, consultation with a physician is advised. Due to the risk of arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats, patients with heart conditions should be particularly cautious. Regular testing is required if there are any related conditions as this medication may affect kidney or liver function. Blood abnormalities such as anemia or thrombocytopenia may arise, so monitoring is necessary if any symptoms appear. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea may occur, so if symptoms are severe, medical staff should be informed. Muscle pain or tendon problems may lead to muscle weakness, so caution is needed if symptoms occur. Serious skin reactions can occur, so if symptoms such as skin rashes, blisters, or itching arise, use should be stopped immediately. Respiratory symptoms should be reported to medical staff immediately, and diabetic patients should carefully monitor changes in their blood sugar levels. This medication may interact with other drugs, particularly anticoagulants, anti-inflammatories, and blood sugar-lowering medications, so caution is advised. It should not be used in pregnant or potentially pregnant women, breastfeeding individuals, or growing children and adolescents. In case of overdose, central nervous system symptoms and cardiac issues may occur, requiring immediate emergency treatment. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur when driving or operating machinery, so be cautious. During medication use, it is advisable to avoid strong sunlight and exposure to artificial UV light.
