This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, and should not be taken by pregnant women or women who may become pregnant. It should not be administered to individuals allergic to the main ingredients of this drug or related drugs, patients with severely impaired liver or heart function, hypertensive patients with severe hypotension, or patients with unstable heart failure following acute myocardial infarction. Patients with impaired liver function or bile duct obstruction may experience slower metabolism of this drug, thus they should take it with caution. Patients with gastrointestinal disorders or kidney diseases should also use this medication with care. Common side effects include dizziness, peripheral edema, and hypotension, with rare but serious side effects also reported, so if any abnormal symptoms occur, immediate consultation with medical personnel is required. Hypotension may occur due to the blood pressure-lowering effect, so patients with insufficient fluids or salt should improve their condition before taking the medication and monitor their status carefully while on treatment. This medication may affect kidney function, so patients with impaired kidney function should regularly undergo blood tests to monitor their kidney status. Patients with heart disease, especially those with heart failure, should be cautious as the risk of heart-related side effects such as pulmonary edema may increase with this medication. This drug contains sorbitol, and patients who cannot metabolize fructose due to genetic reasons should not take it. Diabetic patients may have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease when taking this medication, so prior evaluation of coronary artery disease is advised along with appropriate diagnostic tests. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur, so caution is advised when driving or operating dangerous machinery. Interactions may occur when this medication is taken with other antihypertensives or certain medications, so patients taking other drugs should inform healthcare providers.
