Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once a day, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., morning). In cases of renal impairment, treatment should start with a lower dose in severe renal impairment, with gradual dosage increases. Patients with hepatic impairment should not exceed 40 mg. Elderly patients should start with a lower dose and have gradual increases.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy have not been established for pediatric patients under 18 years old, therefore the administration of this medication is not recommended.

This medication can pose serious risks to the fetus when taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. It can lead to impaired kidney function, delayed skull formation, and in severe cases, even death, therefore it should not be used during pregnancy. This medication should not be administered to specific patients, including those allergic to the active ingredient or similar substances, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and patients with severe liver or heart problems. Patients with impaired liver function or specific heart diseases, as well as those with severely compromised kidney function, should use this medication with increased caution, and dosage adjustment or close monitoring by healthcare professionals is required. Common side effects during treatment may include dizziness or swelling, while severe side effects such as fainting or heart issues may occur rarely. If unusual symptoms arise, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. While taking this medication, hypotension may occur, so patients, especially those who are dehydrated or have low salt levels, should manage their condition effectively before use and seek appropriate measures if hypotension symptoms arise. This medication can increase potassium levels in the blood, so patients at risk for hyperkalemia should regularly check their potassium levels through blood tests. Patients with weakened kidney function should also have regular kidney function tests and blood tests while taking this medication. Safety for kidney transplant patients has not been established. In patients with heart diseases, the risk of angina or myocardial infarction may increase, thus they should be observant of any symptom changes while taking this medication. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, necessitating caution while driving or operating hazardous machinery. Women planning a pregnancy or those who are pregnant should not take this medication and should immediately discontinue use and seek alternative treatment upon confirmation of pregnancy. This medication may interact with other drugs, therefore, it is crucial to inform healthcare providers about any other medications being taken, particularly when used concurrently with certain heart medications, diuretics, or potassium supplements. In case of overdose, hypotension, heart rate changes, kidney failure, etc., may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention. Store this medication out of reach of children, take it immediately after opening, and do not transfer it to another container.
