This medicine is used to relieve various symptoms caused by a cold, including nasal discharge, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

For those aged 15 and above: 2 capsules taken three times a day, 30 minutes after meals.

Precautions

This medicine can cause liver damage if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day. Consult your doctor or pharmacist. Ingredients in this medicine can rarely cause serious skin reactions; if skin rash or hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue use immediately. This medicine contains acetaminophen, so caution is necessary not to exceed the maximum daily dose, and it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing medications. Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness (hypersensitivity shock)
  • Severe rash, blisters, skin peeling, mucous membrane pain (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis) accompanied by fever
  • Asthma attacks
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy (liver dysfunction)
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough with fever (interstitial pneumonia)

Mild side effects

Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, swelling (edema), difficulty urinating, dry mouth, dizziness, rash or reddening (erythema), itching, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medicine with other products containing acetaminophen, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, antiparkinson agents, etc.), cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines (oral medications for rhinitis, anti-motion sickness drugs, allergy medications). Patients taking barbiturates or tricyclic antidepressants should consult their doctor or pharmacist.
