Prevention of allergic rhinitis (seasonal, perennial) and improvement of acute sinusitis.
This medication is used to treat seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children over 2 years of age. It can be taken preventively 2 to 4 weeks before the expected exposure to allergens, especially in cases of seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms. It is also used for treating nasal polyps in adults over 18 years old. Additionally, it is effective for adults with acute sinusitis without severe bacterial infections and adolescents over 12 years old. Overall, this medication is used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and nasal polyps.
1. Allergic rhinitis Adults (including the elderly) and adolescents over 12 years: Generally, administer 2 sprays into each nostril once daily (total daily dose 0.2 mg). If symptoms are alleviated, the maintenance dosage can be reduced to 1 spray in each nostril once daily (total daily dose 0.1 mg). If symptoms are not alleviated, the dosage can be increased to a maximum of 4 sprays in each nostril once daily (total daily dose 0.4 mg).

For example, it should be avoided by those who are allergic to this medication or its components, have an infection in the nasal cavity, have recently undergone nasal surgery, have wounds in the nose, or are under 2 years old. Additionally, caution is advised for individuals with tuberculosis or systemic infections, those who experience recurrent nosebleeds, those at risk of exposure to chickenpox or measles, individuals with specific nasal diseases, and pregnant or breastfeeding women. Possible side effects include headaches, cold symptoms, sore throat, nosebleeds, and cough, among others, and rarely, severe reactions such as allergic responses or bronchospasm may occur. Immediate discontinuation of use and consultation with a doctor is required if any unusual symptoms occur. Long-term use of high doses may have systemic effects, which is particularly concerning for children, as it may affect growth, necessitating regular monitoring. Care should be taken to avoid infections in the nasal cavity while using this medication; if an infection develops, discontinuation and treatment should be sought. Furthermore, this medication may increase the risk of eye diseases such as glaucoma or cataracts, so any changes in vision should be reported to a doctor immediately. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use, as this medication may affect the fetus or baby. This medication may interact with other drugs, especially specific antifungals or antibiotics, so special care is necessary when used in combination. Before use, the medication should be shaken well, and if it has not been used for a certain period, a test spray should be performed to confirm uniform spraying.
