Furthermore, pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should not take this medication. Patients with heart diseases, especially those with bradycardia or heart conduction disorders, should use this medication with caution, as it may cause heart problems such as bradycardia or arrhythmia. Patients taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or with a history of peptic ulcers should be cautious as increased gastric acid secretion and gastrointestinal motility may worsen symptoms. Patients with a history of asthma or obstructive pulmonary disease should also be cautious, as bronchoconstriction and increased mucus secretion may worsen symptoms. During administration, the patient's condition and treatment effects should be evaluated regularly, and discontinuation should be considered if no effect is noted. In patients with heart disease, monitoring that includes ECG testing may be necessary, as this medication can affect heart rhythms. This medication is primarily metabolized in the liver, so caution is needed for patients with decreased liver function or liver-related diseases. Care must be taken as this medication may affect driving or machine operating abilities, especially during the initial period or when dosage is changed. This medication can interact with various drugs, especially those that inhibit or induce CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 enzymes; caution is required when using them together. Also, co-administration with drugs affecting heart conduction may increase the risk of side effects. Pregnant and nursing women should generally avoid this medication, and it should only be used when absolutely necessary and under specialist guidance. In cases of overdose, serious side effects such as nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, hypotension, and respiratory depression may occur, and immediate contact with a healthcare institution is necessary for appropriate treatment.
