Prevention of asthma and relief of allergy rhinitis symptoms
This medication helps to prevent asthma and manage it continuously over a long period. It is also used to relieve symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. Therefore, it can be an effective treatment option for patients with asthma and allergic rhinitis.
This medication is taken once a day, and for asthma patients, it is taken in the evening. For allergic rhinitis patients, the dosing time is determined based on the patient’s condition. For patients with both asthma and allergic rhinitis, it is taken once a day, at a single dose of one tablet in the evening. Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and above should take 10 mg orally once a day.
This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which should not be used in patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic disorder. The acceptable daily intake of aspartame is limited to 40mg per kg of body weight, with a maximum of 2.4g per day for an adult weighing 60kg. Patients with allergic reactions to any of the ingredients in this medication, those with lactose deficiency, galactose intolerance, or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndromes should not take this drug. While safety has been evaluated in clinical trials in asthma and allergic rhinitis patients, various adverse reactions such as fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, cough, and rash may occur. Particularly rare but serious immune reactions such as vasculitis, psychiatric symptoms, and liver function abnormalities may manifest, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to a physician immediately. This medication is not for use during acute asthma attacks; a separate inhaled bronchodilator must be kept and used in emergencies. Inhaled or oral corticosteroids should not be abruptly stopped or replaced with this medication; they must be tapered under a physician's guidance. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid using those medications during treatment with this drug. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a physician before use, and it is recommended to avoid administration unless absolutely necessary. Its safety and efficacy have not been established in infants less than 6 months old, so use is not recommended. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, and general symptomatic treatment and clinical monitoring are necessary; dosage must be strictly adhered to. This medication is sensitive to light and should be opened just before taking and immediately consumed. It should be stored out of reach of children. During treatment, if asthma symptoms worsen or neuropsychiatric symptoms appear, the medical personnel should be notified and consulted immediately.
