This medication is effective for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers and is used to relieve the symptoms of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also suitable for long-term maintenance therapy of gastroesophageal reflux disease and enhances therapeutic effects when combined with antibiotics in patients with gastrointestinal ulcers infected by Helicobacter pylori. It is also used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, which occurs rarely. Overall, it helps to improve and treat symptoms associated with various gastrointestinal disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

For gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer: administer 10 mg orally once daily. Depending on symptoms, 20 mg may be administered orally once daily. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: administer 10 mg or 20 mg orally once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. If not treated, 10 mg or 20 mg may be administered orally twice daily for an additional 8 weeks. For relief of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease: administer once daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with allergies or a history of hypersensitivity to specific components.
