Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components, those with symptoms of orthostatic hypotension, patients with severe liver dysfunction, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should avoid taking this medication. Additionally, caution is needed when using this medication in patients with severely impaired kidney function, elderly patients, and those taking specific antihypertensive medications, alpha-1 blockers, PDE5 inhibitors, or CYP3A4 inhibitors. Various side effects may occur during the course of taking this medication, such as dizziness, blood pressure drop, heart-related abnormal symptoms, gastrointestinal discomfort, or skin rash; if any unusual symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. In cases of overdose, there is a risk of excessively low blood pressure, so it is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage, especially paying attention to changes in blood pressure during position changes. This medication assists in alleviating symptoms but is not a treatment for the underlying cause, so if symptoms do not improve, other treatment options should be considered. Care should be taken when engaging in hazardous activities such as driving or working at heights, as there is a risk of accidents due to side effects such as dizziness. This medication may cause eye-related complications during certain surgeries, so patients scheduled for ophthalmic surgery should inform their healthcare provider. This medication contains lactose, so lactose-intolerant patients should take it with caution, and caution is also advised for patients with a history of allergic reactions to sulfonamides. The safety of this medication has not been established in pregnant women, nursing mothers, or children under 18, so they should not use this medication. For the elderly, who may have reduced kidney function, treatment should start at a lower dose and be monitored. This medication should be swallowed whole as directed, and it should not be crushed or chewed, as this may alter its efficacy. Finally, keep this medication out of the reach of children and do not transfer it to other containers for safety.
