This medication is used to treat various infections caused by different bacteria. It is effective for respiratory infections, excluding acute bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, and infections of the ear, nose, and throat. It is also used to treat bacterial prostatitis, acute uncomplicated cystitis, and pyelonephritis, as well as complicated urinary tract infections. It is applicable to gonococcal cervicitis and urethritis, gastrointestinal and biliary tract infections. This medication also helps in treating skin, soft tissue, bone, and joint infections, gynecological infections, peritonitis, as well as inflammation of the tear duct and chalazia around the eyes. However, it is recommended to use this medication only when there are no other treatment options available for mild infections. Overall, this medication effectively treats various bacterial infections.

How to take

This medication may increase the risk of seizures and affect mental health, so if feelings of depression or psychiatric symptoms occur, it should be stopped immediately and consultation is recommended. Photosensitivity reactions can occur; therefore, it is important to avoid strong sunlight or artificial UV exposure, and if a skin issue arises, discontinue use. Diabetic patients who require blood sugar control should be alert to symptoms of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia and frequently check their blood sugar levels. Severe diarrhea or abdominal pain during the use of this medication may indicate serious intestinal conditions such as pseudomembranous colitis, so consult a healthcare professional promptly.
