For those with renal impairment, dosage adjustments should be made based on creatinine clearance. - For creatinine clearance of 30 mL/min or more: dosage adjustment is not necessary.
Child dose
Children under 12 years of age or weighing less than 40 kg should have their dosage reduced similarly to adults in cases of renal impairment.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 12 years or older, or weighing 40 kg or more, should take 250 mg/125 mg of amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium three times daily orally every 8 hours. Diarrhea, pseudomembranous colitis, dyspepsia, stomatitis, gastritis, glossitis, black hairy tongue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, constipation, colonic pain, hyperacidity, soft stools, dry mouth, candidiasis, antibiotic-associated colitis, elevated AST, ALT, ALP, LDH, serum bilirubin, hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, itching, erythema multiforme, angioedema, serum sickness-like syndrome, hypersensitivity vasculitis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis
