This medication is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, especially for erosive reflux esophagitis and for long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence in patients with esophagitis. It also helps alleviate symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease without esophagitis. It is effective for the treatment and prevention of recurrence of patients with duodenal ulcers or peptic ulcers accompanied by Helicobacter pylori infection. It is used for the short-term treatment of upper gastrointestinal symptoms associated with the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and also for the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers in patients who require long-term use. Additionally, it is utilized for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and the preventive maintenance therapy for rebleeding caused by gastric or duodenal ulcers. Overall, this medication aids in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and improvement of symptoms.

Precautions
