Precautions

This drug may cause severe harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, and should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be used in some patients, including pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, patients with severe liver impairment, severe renal impairment, and hereditary angioedema. Caution is advised for elderly patients, those with hyperkalemia, liver impairment, heart failure, or myocardial infarction, as these conditions may require careful monitoring of blood pressure, starting with a low dose and observing the condition closely. This drug lowers blood pressure, which may cause symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, or fainting upon initial use. In such cases, medical attention should be sought immediately. Caution is also warranted when taken together with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements, as this may dangerously elevate blood potassium levels. Consult healthcare professionals before taking this drug with other antihypertensives or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), as it may affect efficacy or kidney function. Regular monitoring of renal function, blood potassium levels, and blood pressure during treatment is crucial. This drug is not recommended for use in children and adolescents, as safety and efficacy have not been established. In case of overdose, severe hypotension, altered consciousness, or shock may occur, requiring immediate emergency treatment. Lastly, this drug should be kept out of reach of children, and it is preferable not to transfer it to other containers.
