Precautions

This medication should not be used in women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Since this medication contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders that cause lactose intolerance. It should be used cautiously in patients with a tendency to bleed or those taking antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, or anticoagulants. When using this medication, allergic reactions such as rash or itching may occur, so if such symptoms appear, usage should be immediately discontinued. Bleeding may occur infrequently; if bleeding symptoms are observed, discontinue the medication and consult a physician. Gastrointestinal side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, abdominal discomfort, abdominal pain, appetite loss, and heartburn. Since abnormal liver function may arise, it is necessary to periodically check liver health status. Cardiovascular symptoms may include rapid heartbeat or cyanosis of the extremities, and low blood pressure may be observed. Other reported side effects include headache, facial flushing, dizziness, hot sensations, shaking, swelling, and anemia. For patients with lumbar spinal canal stenosis, careful observation of symptom changes should help determine whether to continue the medication. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, and uterine contraction effects were observed in animal studies, so it should not be used by pregnant women. Safety in children has not been confirmed, so it is advised not to use in pediatric patients. Elderly patients may require caution due to decreased bodily functions, possibly necessitating a reduction in dosage.
