This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by monotherapy with either amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose for this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (for example: in the morning). Dosage is adjusted based on blood pressure control and is available in 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, and 10/160 mg. Renal or hepatic impairment patients require adjusted dosing and limitations. Elderly patients over 65 should be cautious when increasing the dose.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so you must stop taking it immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication, pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe kidney or liver impairment, and those with a history of certain heart conditions or angioedema should not take this medication.
