This medication helps relieve symptoms of persistent allergic rhinitis, such as seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. It is used effectively to relieve symptoms of these conditions.

Mild renal impairment (60 -< 90 mL/min): 1 tablet, once daily. Moderate renal impairment (30 -< 60 mL/min): 1 tablet.

This medication should not be used by patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to any of its components. Patients with end-stage renal disease or undergoing dialysis should not take this medication. It must not be given to infants under 1 year old; children under 6 years old should be given the liquid form. Furthermore, patients with genetic issues that prevent the digestion of lactose should not be administered this drug. Caution is also needed for patients with reduced kidney or liver function and elderly patients, as the blood concentration may increase when using this medication. Taking this medication may cause neurological side effects such as drowsiness, headache, and dizziness, along with gastrointestinal symptoms like indigestion, vomiting, and diarrhea. Rapid or irregular heartbeat, changes in blood components, or allergic reactions may also occur. Symptoms like blurred vision or conjunctival congestion may rarely develop, warranting caution. Drowsiness or fatigue may occur after taking the medication, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. The symptoms may be exacerbated when taking this medication with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants, so it is advisable to avoid such combinations. Patients who have difficulty with urinary excretion should be cautious while taking this medication, as should patients with epilepsy or those at risk of seizures. Taking this medication with alcohol may increase the central nervous system depressant effects, so avoiding concurrent use is safest. While taking it with food may slow absorption, it does not significantly affect efficacy. Pregnant women should use this medication cautiously, following medical advice, as data on its impact on the fetus is limited. Nursing mothers should also be cautious, as this medication may be excreted in breast milk and affect the baby. Children and elderly patients may have reduced kidney function, so dosing should be adjusted and their conditions closely monitored. Taking this medication before allergy testing may affect test results, so it is recommended to stop taking it 3-5 days before the test. In cases of overdose, symptoms like drowsiness or agitation may appear, and since there is no specific antidote, it is important to receive treatment to alleviate symptoms. This medication is not readily removed by dialysis, so special caution is needed for overdose situations.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
