Precautions
This medication must only be used under a physician's direction. If severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis occur, use must be discontinued immediately. It should not be used in patients with severe bleeding disorders or in life-threatening conditions such as acute myocardial infarction or stroke. It should not be administered to patients with abnormal fat metabolism or severe liver or kidney dysfunction. Due to a lack of experience in using this medication, it should not be given to premature infants, newborns, or children. Do not use this medication if allergic to fish or egg proteins. Cautious use is required in patients with dyslipidemia or uncontrolled diabetes, and those taking anticoagulants. Adverse reactions related to blood coagulation can occur rarely, requiring careful monitoring. During administration, levels of serum triglycerides, blood glucose, electrolytes, and blood counts should be regularly tested. When administering fat emulsions, serum triglyceride levels should be managed to not exceed a certain level, and if adverse reactions appear, the dosage should be adjusted or discontinued. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, it should only be used cautiously when absolutely necessary. In cases of overdose, side effects like fat overload syndrome or metabolic acidosis may occur; therefore, the rate and amount of administration must be strictly controlled. Before use, shake the container well to ensure it is homogeneous, and do not use damaged containers. It is advisable to use infusion equipment that does not contain phthalates, and compatibility should be checked when mixing with other infusions. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum administration rate, and the duration of administration should not exceed four weeks.
