This medication is used to effectively control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. It is also applicable for heart failure patients who are intolerant to ACE inhibitors belonging to NYHA classification II to IV. After myocardial infarction, it is used to reduce mortality risk in clinically stable patients with left ventricular dysfunction or decreased left ventricular contractile function. Thanks to these efficacies, it helps improve cardiovascular health and reduce the occurrence of related complications. Overall, this medication is used for hypertension, heart failure, and risk reduction post-myocardial infarction.

How to take

Adult dose

Essential hypertension: Recommended oral dose is 80 mg once daily, which may be increased to 160 mg once daily if necessary, or a maximum of 320 mg. Elderly (75 years and older): Start with 40 mg once daily. Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus, especially during pregnancy, and should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with allergic reactions to this medication or severe liver or kidney impairment should not take it. Individuals with certain conditions, such as the elderly, those with hyperkalemia, or liver impairment, should consult a doctor before use. Blood pressure may drop rapidly upon initial administration, so if dizziness or fainting occurs, medical personnel should be notified immediately.
