Adult dose
For recurrent tonsillitis and other upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and skin/soft tissue infections of mild to moderate severity, it is usually taken as amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium at a dosage of 25 mg/3.6 mg per kg of body weight divided into two doses daily. For upper respiratory infections such as otitis media and sinusitis, as well as severe lower respiratory infections such as bronchopneumonia and urinary tract infections, it is usually taken as amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium at a dosage of 45 mg/6 kg of body weight divided into two doses daily.
Child dose
The 7:1 syrup is not suitable for children under 2 months of age. Children with renal failure are not suitable for the 7:1 syrup.

This medication is used to treat infections caused by various bacteria. It is primarily effective for respiratory diseases such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscesses, and also helps with the treatment of tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also used for urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis, as well as pelvic infections and gonorrhea. It is effective for skin and soft tissue infections, boils, abscesses, and wound infections, and is applicable in cases of osteomyelitis and dental infections. This medication acts on a broad range of bacteria, including various resistant strains, aiding in the treatment of infections. Therefore, it is used to improve various bacterial infections.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication contains phenylalanine and should not be used by patients with the hereditary condition phenylketonuria. Patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions to this medication or beta-lactam antibiotics, patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, those with liver dysfunction or a history of jaundice, and those with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance should not be administered this medication. Patients with poor liver or kidney function, those with allergic dispositions or inadequate nutritional statuses, and patients experiencing gastrointestinal diseases with vomiting or diarrhea should use this medication cautiously. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting may occur upon administration, and rarely, adverse effects like liver dysfunction, skin rash, blood abnormalities, and neurological issues may arise. If symptoms develop, consult a physician immediately. This medication should only be used for the necessary duration to prevent the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and should be used with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillin drugs. Severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis may occur, so patients should be closely monitored after administration, and provisions for emergencies should be in place. During prolonged use, regular monitoring of liver function, kidney function, and blood status is necessary, and the medication should be well mixed before administration. After compounding, it should be stored in a refrigerator and used within 7 days. Use should be avoided in the first three months of pregnancy, and caution is needed during breastfeeding, as it may cause diarrhea or allergic reactions in infants. Safety has not been established for premature infants or neonates, so use should be cautious in this population. Elderly patients may have reduced bodily functions, elevating the risk of adverse effects; thus, dosage and administration intervals should be adjusted carefully. This medication may influence certain test results, so inform the medical staff about its use prior to undergoing tests. In the case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, kidney problems, or allergic reactions may occur, necessitating the immediate cessation of use and appropriate treatment. This medication should be stored in an airtight container to protect it from air and moisture, ideally at temperatures between 1 and 25 degrees Celsius.
