Administer 20 mg of nefopam hydrochloride per dose by intramuscular or intravenous injection. If necessary, repeat every 6 hours, not exceeding 120 mg per day. Administer intravenous injections slowly over at least 15 minutes. After administration, it is preferable for the patient to lie still and rest for 15-20 minutes. When added to an infusion solution such as an electrolyte or glucose solution, administer 30 mg over 4 hours or 40 mg over 6-8 hours, in proportion to the administration time. It is recommended that this medicine not be mixed with other medicines for injection. The dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.

This medication should be used together with appropriate antibiotics or antifungal agents to treat infections causing inflammation, and the patient's condition should be closely monitored. For elderly patients, it should be administered cautiously at a minimum dose and special attention should be given to the occurrence of side effects. Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction may have altered metabolism and excretion of this medication, thus requiring careful monitoring. As this medication may cause drowsiness or decreased concentration, it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery. When used with other analgesics or certain medications, side effects may be exacerbated, so consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to take this medication. Safety and efficacy have not been established in children under 15 years of age, so it should not be used. It is not recommended for elderly patients due to potential anticholinergic side effects.
