Effectively treats respiratory infections and urinary tract infections
This medication is effective against various bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus, and is used for the treatment of several infections. It is used for respiratory infections, excluding acute bronchitis, and for community-acquired pneumonia, and is effective for infections of the ear, nose, and throat. It is also utilized for urinary tract infections, bacterial prostatitis, gonococcal cervicitis and urethritis, gastrointestinal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and more. It is used for peritonitis, gynecological infections, infections of the bile ducts, and is used cautiously due to the risk of certain serious side effects. Patients should follow their physician's prescription and instructions carefully, and should inform their healthcare provider immediately in case of any adverse reactions. This medication is utilized effectively for improving various infections.
Typically, adults should take 250 ~ 500 mg of ciprofloxacin per dose, administered orally twice a day between meals. In cases of severe complicated infections, the dose may be increased to 750 mg per dose, twice daily. Treatment for acute infections generally lasts for 5 ~ 10 days, and at least 3 additional days after symptoms disappear. In patients with renal impairment, dosing should be adjusted based on creatinine clearance.
This medication can cause serious side effects such as tendonitis, tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, and central nervous system effects. Especially in patients with severe myasthenia gravis, symptoms may worsen, so it should not be used. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medication immediately and consult with medical personnel. This medication is used only for specific infections and should only be administered when there are no alternative treatments available. In elderly patients, those with impaired kidney function, or when used in conjunction with corticosteroids, there is an increased risk of tendon rupture, so caution is necessary. Avoid concomitant use of this medication with corticosteroids, and if tendon pain or inflammation occurs, refrain from activity and rest. Patients with severe myasthenia gravis should use this medication cautiously as it may worsen their symptoms. Do not use this medication if you have a hypersensitivity reaction, are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18 years of age, or have epilepsy. Caution is advised when used with certain medications as side effects or alterations in efficacy may occur, so inform your healthcare provider of any current medications. This medication may increase the risk of seizures, so patients with central nervous system disorders should use it carefully, and should stop taking it immediately if seizures or changes in mental state occur. If diarrhea or gastrointestinal disturbances occur, immediately discontinue use and inform your healthcare provider of possible pseudomembranous colitis. Photosensitivity reactions may occur, so it is advisable to avoid strong sunlight or ultraviolet exposure. If any sensory changes or neuropathy symptoms occur during the use of this medication, consult with a specialist immediately. Caution is needed when driving or operating machinery, and it is advisable to avoid simultaneous alcohol consumption. Due to the risk of cardiac-related side effects, patients with heart disease should use this medication only after consulting their healthcare provider. Patients with difficulty in blood sugar control should carefully monitor for fluctuations in blood sugar levels, and seek immediate treatment if symptoms of hypoglycemia occur. Overdose may result in kidney damage, so it is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage.

This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it should be stored in a sealed container. It is advisable to maintain a storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius. Storing it properly will help retain the efficacy of the medication for a longer period.
