Precautions

This drug is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug's components or similar classes of drugs. Particularly, in patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, there is a higher risk of side effects such as rashes, so it should be avoided. Patients with impaired liver function need to be cautious as this medication may lead to recurrence of liver dysfunction. Patients with impaired liver function or moderate to severe renal impairment may require dose adjustments and monitoring due to the potential for increased drug concentration. Patients with allergies or bronchial asthma, the elderly, and those in poor general health have an increased risk of side effects when taking this medication and should be used with caution. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain; if severe diarrhea or bloody stools occur, discontinue the drug immediately and consult a physician. There may be an increase in liver enzyme levels or symptoms of jaundice, so regular liver function tests are necessary if used long-term. If severe skin rashes, itching, difficulty in breathing, or shock occur, the medication should be stopped immediately and emergency treatment sought. Blood tests may reveal anomalies such as leukopenia, anemia, or thrombocytopenia, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to a healthcare facility. Neurological symptoms such as anxiety, restlessness, dizziness, and rarely seizures may occur, so consultation with a physician is required if these symptoms are severe. Patients with poor kidney function may experience acute kidney failure or nephritis, necessitating regular kidney assessments. This drug may affect the balance of normal intestinal flora, leading to fungal infections such as candidiasis, and should be reported to a physician if symptoms arise. Vitamin K deficiency may lead to bleeding tendencies; any bleeding symptoms should be reported to healthcare providers immediately. This drug has many drug interactions; caution is needed when used in combination, especially with anticoagulants, certain antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory agents, and should be administered under expert guidance. Pregnant or nursing women should consult a physician about the effects on the fetus or newborn when using this drug, especially avoiding use in the first three months of pregnancy. Children are recommended to use only if they are over 12 years old or weigh over 40 kg, and elderly patients should use it more cautiously due to decreased body function, increasing the risk of side effects. In cases of overdose, gastrointestinal disturbances, kidney issues, or neurological abnormalities may occur, and should stop taking the drug immediately and seek medical treatment.
