Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with known allergy to this drug, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing women, patients with severe liver or kidney disease, and those with a history of hereditary angioedema should not take this medication. Elderly patients, those with high potassium levels in the blood, patients with impaired liver function, heart valve disease or cardiovascular diseases, and patients with very low blood pressure should be careful when taking this drug. Since this medicine lowers blood pressure, dizziness or fainting may occur due to sudden drops in blood pressure when first taken, so caution is necessary. Patients with heart failure or post-myocardial infarction may experience changes in kidney function, so regular kidney function tests should be performed, and consultation with a specialist is required when taking this medication along with other antihypertensive drugs. This drug can increase blood potassium levels, so careful monitoring of serum potassium concentrations is necessary when taken with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics. Additionally, taking this drug with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may reduce the antihypertensive effect or worsen kidney function, so caution is advised. While taking this drug, side effects such as headache, dizziness, fatigue, cough, and indigestion may occur, and if severe allergic reactions, angioedema, or signs of kidney dysfunction appear, medical attention should be sought immediately. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not take this medication, and nursing women are also advised to avoid it. This medication should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age, as its safety and efficacy have not been fully established in this population. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or altered consciousness may occur, requiring immediate emergency care, and it should be kept out of reach of children.
