Dosage
Adults: 20 mL per dose Take 3 to 4 times a day after meals and at bedtime.
Precautions
This medication should not be taken by individuals who have had an allergic reaction to this medicine or its components. Additionally, individuals who are taking or who have discontinued MAO inhibitors, such as antidepressants or antipsychotics, within the last two weeks should not use this medication. Infants under 3 months or children under 15 years of age should ideally not take this medication. During the course of treatment, it is advised not to take other cough suppressants, cold medications, antihistamines, sedatives, or alcohol. Consumption of alcohol should be avoided while taking this medication, and since drowsiness may occur, it is safest to avoid driving or operating machinery. Individuals with a history of allergies or previous allergic reactions to medications must consult a doctor or pharmacist. Patients with liver, kidney, thyroid disorders, diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension, elderly patients, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult a specialist. Consultation is particularly necessary before use in cases of glaucoma or urinary disorders. Special caution is advised for chronic cough sufferers, including smokers, and those with asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, especially if accompanied by fever, rash, or headaches. The medication is generally not administered to children under 2 years of age, and if absolutely necessary, medical consultation is recommended. If symptoms such as rash, vomiting, dizziness, or urinary difficulties arise during treatment, or if symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 doses, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. It is crucial to adhere to the prescribed dosage and formulation, and when administering to children, careful monitoring by a guardian is necessary.
