Patients allergic to penicillin antibiotics or those with a family history of asthma or allergic symptoms must consult a physician before use. Patients with severely impaired kidney function may require dosage adjustments and caution as the excretion of this medication may be delayed. Patients who are unable to take orally, elderly individuals, or those in poor general condition should be closely monitored for the risk of bleeding due to vitamin K deficiency during treatment. This medication may rarely cause severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, gastrointestinal disturbances, respiratory problems, hematological abnormalities, neurological issues, or liver and kidney dysfunction. If symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult healthcare personnel. During treatment, susceptibility testing should be conducted to prevent the emergence of resistant strains, and it should be used for the minimum necessary duration only. Caution is required as dizziness may occur when driving or operating machinery. If taken for more than 10 days, it is advisable to perform blood tests to check white blood cell counts. In cases of poor kidney function, dosage adjustments are required, and if seizures occur, administration should be stopped immediately. As severe skin adverse reactions have been reported, skin condition should be closely monitored, and discontinuation is necessary if any abnormal symptoms arise. This drug may put a strain on the kidneys when used with certain diuretics or other antibiotics, so caution is advised during concomitant administration.
