Induction and consolidation therapy effects for acute promyelocytic leukemia.

  • Acute promyelocytic leukemia
View approved original text

This drug is used for inducing remission and administering consolidation therapy in adult patients with refractory or relapsed acute promyelocytic leukemia. It is suitable for patients diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia through chromosome or genetic testing, and is applied to patients who have previously been treated with retinoids and chemotherapy. However, its efficacy and safety have not been established in cases of relapse after achieving complete remission with this drug. Additionally, response rates for other subtypes of acute myeloid leukemia have not been sufficiently studied. Therefore, it is primarily used in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia.
